Angel Valdes Alvarado was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago to Mexican immigrant parents who came to the United States seeking a better life. 

Tested and Experienced

From a young age, Angel worked alongside his father in residential construction, gaining hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of home building and renovation including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, and kitchen and bathroom remodeling.

Angel went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, concentrating in Construction Management and Transportation.

With experience as a Field Engineer in the City of Chicago, Angel focused on street reconstruction, concrete paving, and infrastructure improvements. 

A Mission to Support Small Contractors

With aspirations to earn his Professional Engineer (PE) license, Angel founded AVA Drafting LLC as the first step toward building a respected engineering firm of his own. AVA Drafting LLC reflects Angel’s lifelong dedication to trying to help small business owners complete quality work more efficiently and affordably.  Angel's mission is to upgrade your business at the fraction of the cost.
